To cheer myself up I decided to spend some time making a card using the SC143 Template on Splitcoaststampers, that was created by LilLuvsStampin.
I haven't played with my H2O's for a while so I got them out of the box, and used one of my lovely stamps from Tanda Stamps and from Autumn Leaves and set to work.
I simply stamped the basecard cream cardstock with the Autumn Leaves Swirl using Olive coloured ink from the Brillance Dew Drop range (it has a goldish tone to it), then using some Tea Dye Ink distress ink from Ranger I cut in the edges to 'age' the card, I rounded the corners with a corner punch. Then next layer is some dark olive card from Bazzil, which I gave the same treatment with the Tea Dye Ink and rounding of the corners, then layered a small band of pale buff bazzil cardstock which using my cropodile I punched and added an eyelet , 'aged' with the Tea Dye Ink and added some dark gold ribbon . This was topped with some gold mirri card whose corners I have rounded. Finally the top layer is the stamped image from Tanda Stamps, she is simply stamped onto some of the same pale buff bazzil cardstock used before, I then coloured her in using some H2O's.

Love her auburn hair, really striking! I like the background swirls too - they look great when they're incomplete like that, if you see what I mean.
very beautiful, that image is gorgeous!
Lovely card, it's a very striking image.
How's your hubby's thumb?
